I. The Palestinians And Kurds Have No Protectors.
The instability in the Middle East has many sources, and causes.
When the British and French overthrew the Ottomans a century ago they left open gaping wounds that successive regimes in all these countries have not been able to heal due to religious prejudice, ethnic hatred, racism, and geopolitical calculations.
The Palestinian Question, the Kurdish Question, and the Armenian Question all still remain unsolved.
Even though the Armenians possess a state their situation is forever precarious because Turkey has permanent designs on it. Turkey's goal is to wipe Armenia off the map, expand and unify the Turkic world, and even invade northern Iran in the event of its collapse.
But at least Armenia has a voice and can lobby at international forums and conferences. The Palestinians and Kurds are constantly being killed and massacred without avenues of peaceful change available to them. They still remain stateless a hundred years after the collapse of the Ottomans because they don't fight fire with fire.
The current attack against Kurdish civilians in a neighbourhood in Aleppo was predictable. The moment an Al-Qaeda operative was elevated to the head of state in Damascus the war against the Kurds was on. The Druze, the Alawites, they just wet the appetite of these killers.
The SDF, the American-backed militia comprised of Kurds and Arabs, is not a serious obstacle to the rogue criminals in Damascus and their foreign masters. It is currently led by a weak leader who allowed America to relegate the Kurdish fighters to the role of anti-ISIS police, and nothing more.
Washingdon, Ankara and the Arab states want Kurds and SDF to fight and die against ISIS, but never receive their full rights, gain citizenship in Syria, or assert their Kurdish culture in any way.
The fake army they conjured up - the Syrian Democratic Forces - watch innocents get butchered and don't move a finger. They just produce empty statements. They're sort of like the Palestinian police in the West Bank. They're an anti-terrorism force, not a genuine army.
As long as Palestinians and Kurds are led by such impotent forces they will continue to get massacred and killed by the more powerful states surrounding them.
II. The Collapse of Iran
The ongoing protests in Iran are both spontaneous and the work of the CIA, MI6, and Mossad. It's a complicated situation. This current round of protests began with the devaluation of the currency.
The economy supersedes all. The founder of the Islamic regime famously said economics is for donkeys but the economy will be the undoing of his regime.
The Ayatollahs are losing their grip on the nation and any divine right to rule. Once you start massacring your own people in the thousands it's pretty much game over.
But it won't be a soft landing. And I don't expect freedom to reign in any future post-Islamic Republic. The pedophile clan in Washingdon and their masters in Jerusalem clearly want to take things back to the 1950s and install a new dictator.
Whether they will be successful is a huge if.
