President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia on Tuesday described the crisis in Ukraine as the result of an “unconstitutional coup,” and said that Russia reserved right to use force as “a last resort.”
He was speaking as Secretary of State John Kerry headed for Kiev to meet with Ukraine’s fledgling leadership, which forced Mr. Yanukovych out of office.
In televised remarks, Mr. Putin also said there was no need to use force at the moment in Crimea, Ukraine’s southern region on the Black Sea where Russian troops and naval vessels have encircled Ukrainian military facilities, saying they were protecting ethnic Russians.The media makes it out to appear that Putin is sticking his nose out of his door and just looking for trouble, implying that he wants to invade Ukraine because of personal desires. The opposite is the case. This crisis literally landed on his doorstep as a result of US/EU machinations in combination with political and economic mismanagement in Ukraine. Ironically, Putin has come out the winner without firing a shot. Those who illegally overthrew the government in Ukraine are handing Crimea to Russia as a gift.
But the facts are not considered at all. The history of Ukraine and its close relationship with Russia is not discussed. The media just puts up a picture of Putin and the irrational hate fest begins. This is two minutes of hate straight out of Orwell.

It's simple. Power makes you insane. When you are an empire that is filled with cosmic-like power, the power to create history and manipulate events, you do all sorts of things that are irrational like overthrowing governments without planning for the day after. Rational people and governments don't do such brazen things for fear of the consequences. The gang that is currently running Washington is insane because of all the power they have and what they have been able to get away with. They live in a world without consequences.
