The last thing I want to think about at 3 in the morning is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It's the world's never ending headache.
When one side finances its own enemy and stages attacks against itself and the other side calls for the total elimination of the other in the name of religion it's hard to devote any mental and spiritual energy to healing this territorial rift.
Prison rules should be applied, not international law, conscience, or biblical morality. Just let them kill each other and whoever comes out on top should be declared the winner.
The endless rounds in this grudge match has emotionally exhausted the world. No one cares at this point about the fate of either side. Jewish suffering and Palestinian suffering doesn't move the emotional needle anymore.
Their non-stop crying and emotional pleading has turned us all into cold-blooded strategic thinkers. A decade ago I thought like Ghandi. Now I'm reading Kissinger and German war theorists.
The world does not revolve around Israel and Palestine. Such a small piece of real estate does not deserve the world’s dedicated attention. We have bigger problems to deal with.
Why are countries like Canada and Australia even entertaining this religious nonsense? All Pro-Palestine protests should be banned. All Israeli lobbying should be banned. Our politics should not revolve around this conflict.
And if Washington and Tehran want to exhaust their resources, prestige, reputations, military capabilities, and economies, then let them. Instead of fighting a 12 day war, next time they should fight a 12 month war, or better yet, a 12 year war. Let the laughable American empire and crazed Islamic Republic crumble to ashes to save "Israel" and "Islam."
As for the sane members of the human community let us move on and focus on the future.
But, can this conflict allow us to move on and focus on better things?
Since this conflict has been globalized and ultra-politicized to the extent that Western governments can't even function normally without placating both sides then something practical has to be done.
A solution has to be forced upon the Israelis and Palestinians not just for the sake of world peace but for the restoration of political sanity across the Middle East, America, and the Western world.
And the clearest solution in my mind has to revolve around the Palestinians taking one for the team - the team of humanity - by evicting themselves from the land of Israel. Let the stupid Zionists have all of it. Every inch of it. Let them build a wall around it. Secure it. And let them isolate themselves from the world’s capitals. The world would be better for it. America certainly would be.
In this scenario the Palestinians would not be driven to the wilderness like some Biblical redux but allowed to permanently resettle in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, with all the travel costs paid for by those very wealthy governments. Those countries need workers, and Palestinians can fit the bill just as well as Indians if not even better because they share the same religion and speak the same language.
These rich monarchs should use their oil money for good use for once. Instead of financing ISIS and bankrolling mass murder across Africa and the Middle East because Uncle Sam says so they should finance the resettlement of the Palestinians on their lands.
Rename Qatar Palestine and be done with it.
