The Israeli-Palestinian conflict contaminates every issue in the Middle East, rightly or wrongly.
Just as Jews are elevated to the level of gods in the West, in the Islamic East the Palestinians are the favourite child who can't do no wrong. According to this logic Iranians who oppose the Ayatollahs are all Mossad agents, Kurds who demand autonomy and rights are Israeli proxies and separatists, moderate Arabs in Egypt and elsewhere are traitors, etc. Only the Palestinian struggle matters according to such people.
The uprising in Iran is being viewed through this prism. Fifty years of pent up anger at the Islamic regime has been reduced to foreign interference and sabotage operations. But the political dynamic in Iran is much more complicated than this simplistic caricature.
If the protests were simply Mossad-orchestrated riots then why the total internet blackout? Wouldn't the Islamic Republic want to show the world the riots in real time and prove their position?
There's no doubt that Mossad, the CIA, and the MI6 are involved in the destruction, but the Islamic Republic has also shown the capacity in the past to stage false flag attacks against their own security personnel in order to paint anti-government protests as violent.
Most governments deploy this trick. These scumbags were trained by the same intelligence agencies. They read from the same playbook. So it's a mistake to assume these protesters are all violent. 99 percent of them began as peaceful, and the Ayatollahs responded with a fist because they have nothing else.
Much like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the resolution to the Iran crisis will not appear overnight.
