The transformation of Syria isn't going according to plan. It is a country that is bound to unravel. Its failure is another example of why foreign interference never leads to anything good in the Middle East.
Turkey, Israel, America, and the Arab monarchies have their claws in Syria and won't let go. They each want a piece for their own interests, aims, and desires.
Syria serves as a reminder that in geopolitics and international relations nothing is permanent. Power determines everything. No nation is consistent in their application of their "values" and "principles."
International law doesn't exist.
Europe on the one hand cries about international law and territorial sovereignty when it comes to Greenland but in Syria and Ukraine they support forces and governments that infringe on such things.
Where is Europe's concern for Syria's sovereignty when Turkey and Israel invade it from either side and impose their will on the local inhabitants?
Where was its concern for Libya's sovereignty?
Where was Brussels' concern for the sovereignty of the Russian speaking regions of Ukraine when the Neo-Nazi gangs in Kiev began killing them over a decade ago before Putin was even there?
So, please, give it a break. Greenland is not sacrosanct. Neither is Palestine. Or any nation.
Greenland is up for grabs for anyone willing to take it and defend it.
So is California. So is Israel. Iran. Turkey. The south of France. Canada. England. Even China. And they know this better than anyone because in the 19th century the Europeans carved it up, each taking a piece. Where was the European concern for sovereignty then?
Does Greenland have nukes? Does it have an army? Does it even have a flag? I've never seen the Greenland flag in a flag store or on any flag app.
What I would advice European nations to do is forget Greenland and focus on re-establishing a solid and positive relationship with Russia, wage an ideological and spiritual war on Islam, and rebuild their militaries.
