No one has a full picture of current events, let alone of history. People have different views of almost everything these days. Trump supporters were breaking down the video of the ICE shooting in Minnesota like it was the Zapruder film, trying to find the smallest detail to defend the killing as if the cowardly cop had no choice in the matter. It's crazy. People will defend any murder if their side is the one doing it.
The same phenomenon occurred in Gaza. And Yemen. The Sudan. Etc., And now Iran. It's human nature. It happens everywhere.
The Islamic Republic can probably end up killing half the population and you'll still find people both inside the country and outside it defending it. Stalinists were the same. Political violence, especially when it's wielded by the modern totalitarian state, has no limits.
A lot people forget or don't know that before this regime came to power it set fire to a theater full of hundreds of innocent people in order to blame it on the Shah's government and take the moral high ground in their political struggle.
That's the cold-blooded nature of the Mullahs.
They've been killing Iranians since before they attained any power. The idea that their regime is currently only killing rioters and paid-off foreign intelligence assets just doesn't hold water. They came in killing ordinary Iranians and they will go out doing the same. That's what terrorists do. It's in their nature.
But there's another reason for this. This regime is not brave enough to kill Americans or Jews so it takes its anger out on its own people. Misguided anti-Zionists and anti-American imperialists who defend the Islamic Republic as some great beacon of resistance against Israel and America just don't know history.
Neither history nor recent events have been kind to the Islamic Republic.
The brazenness with which Trump and Netanyahu are acting has to be understood within the context of them winning non-stop. They have taken out the regime's regional allies like they were disposable toys.
Netanyahu took Hezbollah and Assad off the geopolitical board within a span of months, and decimated Gaza after staging the October 7 events, leaving Hamas licking its wounds. He then initiated the 12 day war in June against Iran, bringing in the United States and the West formally into Israel's war against the Ayatollahs.
That episode revealed that Israel cannot withstand a shooting war on its own and that if it were to succeed it needed to bring down the regime from inside with psyops and sabotage or by America's hand.
Netanyahu is himself facing severe political pressure at home so he needs this war bad.
And he thinks he'll get it because he has the conqueror's high. He believes he can't put a foot wrong. When he touches base in the White House and puts a leash on Trump to walk him before the cameras he feels like the King of the world. And he views the rest of humanity as dumb animals who lack memory of even basic things like who really did 9/11.
But we are not dumb animals who lack memory. We can try to put pieces of the puzzle together to better understand why our governments are so infatuated with waging wars in the Middle East, one after another.
The re-establishment of the Jewish Temple is obviously a big factor. That's on the agenda. The messianic forces that control Trump and guide his every move will not settle for a Palestinian state because it will get in the way of that. And removing the Ayatollahs from the picture is high on the agenda, too.
But they won't stop there. Just as the Europeans and Americans want to balkanize Russia, Israel wants to balkanize Iran. If they succeed in removing this regime from power they will destroy and bomb everything in Iran, from the refineries to the dams, the power grid, medical infrastructure, airports, nuclear facilities, missile depots, ancient architecture, everything.
Israel wants to be the only hegemonic power not just in the Middle East but in the world. They are planning to take both Iran and the United States out in the same theater, killing two birds one stone.
Of course, the protesters on the streets don't know that. They just want to live in a free country, free from Islamic oppression. But Israel has evil designs for the country and it will seek its total destruction.
