U.S. Congress Agrees To Arm Radical Terrorist Group ISIS Under The False Label of "Syrian Rebels"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approves the U.S. Congress's decision to arm ISIS.

The  U.S. Congress has voted to officially arm the "Syrian rebels" and implement the Obama administration's strategy against ISIS, whatever that is.

Technically, there is no such thing as "Syrian rebels." Those who wish it was true because they want to see Assad overthrown so bad really need to grow up and stop living in a fantasy world. It isn't true now, and it wasn't true three years ago.

This is not something that basement dwelling conspiracy theorists believe, but is a reality that even high-level Pentagon generals, mainstream journalists, and Middle East experts now admit after denying it earlier in order to justify the sending of American and Western arms into Syria.

These arms ended up in the hands of ISIS. There is a belief that this was done accidentally, out of U.S. cluelessness and ignorance of the various rebel groups, but that would be naive.

Robert Ford, the former ambassador to Syria, tried to restore the image of the so-called "moderate opposition" in Syria last month in an article in Foreign Policy. But no matter how much the U.S. government would like that to be true, it just isn't the case.

Even if the Free Syrian Army existed, they would have very little popular support inside Syria and would only win on the battlefield if the U.S. absolutely pummeled the Syrian army with its air power and destroyed Syria to pieces.

And their exile political leaders would only win in an election if over 80 percent of Syria was depopulated, whether by death or forced migration. Is that what the U.S. wants? It looks like it, because that is the only way that support for Assad and the current government would fade inside Syria.

So as long as war is imposed on them and they continue to be invaded by foreign Jihadists from every corner of the planet the majority of Syrians will stand by their leader. That is how every country, society, community, sect, cult, and tribe acts in a time of crisis, rightly or wrongly.

But depopulating a country in order to remove popular support for its regime is not a military or a political victory. It's genocide.

So what is Washington getting at by continuing to send arms to Syria, escalating the war, and taking diplomacy with the Assad regime off the table? The obvious conclusion, which has been self-evident from the very beginning of the so-called Arab Spring, is that they want to destroy Syria.

In the place of U.S. boots, they have opted for the boots of Jihadist terrorists. They are different boots, a little dirtier, more beaten up, not as shiny, but the traces of their footsteps both lead back to U.S. training bases.
