Is the Egyptian military run by idiots? Do these generals even understand where their society is heading? I was all for the coup. Morsi was raising up a storm, calling Jews descendents of pigs and spouting aggressive rhetoric against Ethiopia for the construction of its Renaissance Dam. The generals quieted things down, especially with Ethiopia, so that was a good thing. But you have to rule intelligently. And shutting down the show of a popular talk show host who is watched by millions of young Egyptians isn't the smart way to go forward.
