Syrian Deputy Prime Minister Walid al-Moualem's speech to the United Nations has been buried.
You would think the world would be interested in what he has to say considering that his country is in a big crisis and was directly threatened by the United States in early September. The Obama administration backed off, choosing to tread lightly, but it still has its finger on the trigger.
Last week, President Obama and President Rouhani got all the buzz and press at the United Nations. But their speeches lacked substance, passion, and clarity. In contrast, this man actually had something interesting to say. Below is the quote that most popped out in his address to the UN.
"Terrorists who use poisonous gases in my country have received chemical agents from regional and Western countries that are well known to all of us." - Syrian Deputy Prime Minister Walid al-Moualem.
