How Come He Didn't Say This When Bush Was President?

"I am just here to support the President of the United States. President of the United States is our boss, but he is also... you know, the President and the First Lady are kinda like the Mom and the Dad of the country. And when your Dad says something you listen, and when you don't it will usually bite you on the ass later on. So, I’m here to support the President." - Chris Rock at a press conference in Washington, supporting the Obama administration's gun confiscation agenda.
Damn. That is outrageous. I thought comedians were smart and astute social critics who held consistent anti-authoritarian beliefs. What the hell happened? Where are comedians like Lenny Bruce and George Carlin? Are they all dead? Liberal comedians who criticized Bush for legitimate reasons love Obama even though he is following in his footsteps on substantive issues. It's a shame.

Oh well, I can't say I'm surprised. Read: Why Mankind Is Screwed: The People Are Children, And Leaders Are Fathers.
