Joseph Goebbels and the Nazi propagandists considered themselves the disciples of Edward Bernays, the Austrian-American father of modern propaganda who taught corporations and governments to use psychological principles to gain the sympathy of the public for various commercial and political causes.
In a book review of Larry Tye's 2002 book, "The Father of Spin: Edward L. Bernays and the Birth of PR," John Stauber and Sheldon Rampton wrote:
"It is impossible to fundamentally grasp the social, political, economic and cultural developments of the past 100 years without some understanding of Bernays and his professional heirs in the public relations industry. PR is a 20th century phenomenon, and Bernays -- widely eulogized as the "father of public relations" at the time of his death in 1995 -- played a major role in defining the industry's philosophy and methods."The genius of Bernays was recognized during his lifetime by gifted minds in both politics and business. Bernays has casted a long shadow over modern history. But the tool of propaganda has existed for centuries, so it would be wrong to attribute the science of thought control solely to him and his works.
The mystifying power of modern propaganda is hard to comprehend by most people because it is usually utilized in the aftermath of horrific and traumatic events like 9/11 and 7/7. People are spellbound in chaotic situations and thus they are easy to manipulate. The U.S. and Israeli governments brainwashed the world through totalitarian propaganda to make people believe in their false version of 9/11.
Once 9/11 happened, USraeli state leaders were like flies on shit. They reacted instantly to drive home their version that Arab Terrorists and Al-Qaeda committed the tragedy. On that day, propaganda worked like magic.
But not everybody knows this history because it is suppressed in the mainstream media. Israel's most diehard supporters believe Israeli leaders are as pure and white as the driven snow.
In an article called, "What Netanyahu Can Learn from Joseph Goebbels," the writer says that Israeli leaders should improve their propaganda skills and that they could learn a thing or two from Goebbels. Try not to laugh. That's like telling LeBron James to improve his basketball skills.
Israeli leaders already know quite a lot about the dark art of propaganda. The U.S. and Israel paint reality with the blood of their victims really well. 9/11 was their masterpiece.
