Edward Peck's Dialogue with Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah of Hezbollah

Edward Peck served as "Chief of Mission in Baghdad (Iraq, 1977 to 1980) in the Carter Administration," and "served as deputy director of the White House Task Force on Terrorism in the Reagan Administration."

In 2006, before the Israel-Lebanon War, Peck and two former U.S. diplomats spoke with Nasrallah about the founding of Hezbollah, the history and nature of Hezbollah's conflict with Israel, Hezbollah's political objectives, the possibility of peace negotiations between Lebanon and Israel, prisoner exchange deals between Hezbollah and Israel, and other issues.
