A strong case could be made that America is the country that most needs political reform and political change in our era. America is currently ruled by thieves, kleptocrats, and traitors, who will not hesitate from switching their methods of control if events on the ground demand such a shift. They are currently imposing their unlawful rule through propaganda and deception, but, if needed, they will use force and brutal repression against the American people. The U.S. government and other Western governments have already made preparations to crush protests, which will surely take place as the global economic crisis gets worse.
But repression won't work. Once the American people decide to take to the streets, joined by people elsewhere, and call for real transparency, freedom, and justice in their country, it will be game over for America's barbaric rulers and the end of the false reality that America is free and democratic. When more people in America wake up to the real reality of their country - that 9/11 was an inside job, that America has remained in an official state of emergency for almost a decade and perhaps even more, that their national leaders are either political puppets, or worse, traitors, and that their constitutional government has been hijacked by rascals and looters, and replaced with a tyrannical and lawless National Security State - the entire country will get angry, rightfully, and demand drastic change in Washington.
So while Egypt is in crisis right now, and the entire Middle East too, America - along with the Western world - will soon find itself in a greater, and much more profound crisis. But I am honestly confident that the American people will resolve their country's political crisis once they are given all the facts and properly informed about the criminality of their treasonous leaders. America has faced national crises in the past, and overcame them while still preserving for future generations of Americans - and all of mankind - the ideals of freedom and "government of the people, for the people, and by the people." I don't think that legacy will change in our era because the American people are noble-spirited and hate imperialism and unjust domination. I'm hopeful that a new party led by a new Lincoln will rise, or a new revolution led by a new Washington will happen. Or some great change.
What America represents on the world scene now is a shame. The fact that the most powerful superpower in the world is also the biggest anti-revolutionary and anti-freedom force in the world is obviously disheartening for people who love America, independence, and self-government. States that are anti-freedom and anti-justice are by default anti-order and anti-security. America is such a state.
If true and just American leaders don't rise and give voice to great democratic reforms in America, and replace the empire with the original republic, then this new era of revolution and change that we are watching unfold across the world will take a longer time to mature and develop, and involve much bloodshed and suffering. The only hope is that the American people will retake their government soon, implement necessary democratic reforms, and honor its constitution along with the men who died for it throughout its history.
A lot of people have pointed out that Egyptian riot police are using American-made tear gas canisters against the Egyptian people, highlighting the fact that America is on the side of the dictators against the revolutionaries throughout the Arab world, of the status quo against popular change, and while this is a sad reflection of the current state of American leadership, let's not forget that so many other things are also made in the great U.S.A., above all, revolution. 1776 opened the floodgates of revolution and political change. The prospects of freedom for mankind would be slim if it wasn't for the Declaration of Independence, and American revolutionaries. America's greatest exports are its exceptional leaders, ideas, and words, from Jefferson and Washington down to Kennedy and King; from "All men are created equal" to "I have a dream." Very few nations can lay claim to such a noble and honorable heritage. The American founding fathers acted on revolutionary ideas and principles, which are still revolutionary today, and gave birth to a world-transformative change, with effects still being felt today, more than 200 hundred years later, especially in the Middle East which is ripe for American-style revolutions.
The young people who are protesting their dictatorial government in Egypt are Jeffersonians, not Khomeinis. They are not anti-Western Islamists crying for a new Muhammad, or shouting Allahu Akbar, instead, they are demanding their natural rights and individual freedom. They want a secular state and good government. One protester said: "We will not be silenced, whether you're a Christian, whether you're a Muslim, whether you're an atheist, you will demand your goddamn rights, and we will have our rights, one way or the other! We will never be silenced."
America still stands as an example for all mankind. No other country has carved its destiny with the ideals of freedom and equality in mind. John Adams wrote:
“I always consider the establishment of America with reverence and wonder, as the opening of a grand scene and design in Providence for the illumination of the ignorant, and the emancipation of the slavish part of mankind all over the earth.”America has not even begun to reach the heights that it is capable of reaching. It is not in decline, but in a period of transition. How can a country with such a great Constitution and an admirable legacy of righting wrongs when pressed by a moral national conscience ever be in decline? Its greatness will be restored, and it will be led again by noble and virtuous leaders, not the current terrorists, charlatans, and thieves.
As individuals and nations, no matter who or where, we all have decide to be on the right side of history, on the side of individual liberty, not government tyranny - of order, not anarchy - and of justice, not the side of nothing. In place of liberty, justice, and order, we'll get tyranny, or anarchy, or nothing at all - total chaos and an absence of civilization. But people everywhere must have all three - liberty, justice, and order - to live with dignity and enjoy the gift of life.
Making great political changes is the task of our generation. We must tackle the crises of our time, and right the ship of state in our countries. Righting the ship of state means that we must stand by the truth and demand that the real criminals who did 9/11 and brought war to the Middle East face justice. Understanding the truth about 9/11, and why there is a global war on terror which only increases suffering and inequality in the world, requires great psychological change, self-examination, and some humility. Acknowledging that we were fooled is never an easy thing to do. But it is better to accept our errors and learn to correct them than suffer under official lies like "terrorism is an existential threat" that are constructed to prop up a system of tyranny and the tricksters who serve it.
I believe the day of justice will come. Robert Lanza, who is the Chief Scientific Officer at Advanced Cell Technology, and Adjunct Professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine, wrote an article last year called, "Judgement Day is Coming. Science Suggests Justice Is Inescapable," saying that "Justice is built into the fabric of nature." If that is true, then our future looks bright.
Thomas Carlyle believed that justice served as the foundation of all nations. In his Inaugural Address at Edinburgh in 1866 he said:
"In the tragedies of Sophocles there is a most deep-toned recognition of the eternal justice of Heaven, and the unfailing punishment of crime against the laws of God. I believe you will find in all histories of nations, that this has been at the origin and foundation of them all ; and that no nation which did not contemplate this wonderful universe with an awestricken and reverential belief that there was a great unknown, omnipotent, and all-wise and all-just Being, superintending all men in it, and all interests in it,--no nation ever came to very much, nor did any man either, who forgot that. If a man did forget that, he forgot the most important part of his mission in this world." (Thomas Carlyle. Inaugural Address at Edinburgh, April 2nd 1866. Selected Essays by Thomas Carlyle. pg 456).Unjust men like Mubarak, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Kissinger, and other unjust leaders around the world can't comprehend "the eternal justice of Heaven." Power is their only god. But our universe is not about power alone. It matters what we do with power. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "I am not interested in power for power's sake, but I'm interested in power that is moral, that is right and that is good." The dictators in the Middle East and the tricksters in power in America don't stand a chance against the awakened forces of good. Their day in the sun has passed. Their downfall is coming.
