"No one can terrorize a whole nation, unless we are all his accomplices." - Edward R. Murrow
"To state the facts frankly is not to despair the future nor indict the past." - John F. Kennedy
From the moment that 9/11 happened a historical narrative that was scripted beforehand to benefit the agents of power in the United States, Israel, and the Western World was drilled into the public consciousness by the Western mainstream media. Nine years later, anybody who goes against the official narrative about the September 11 events is called a "reality-challenged" lunatic/nutcase/kook.
All public debate about 9/11 is shut off. To servile minds, history is what the government says it is on any given day. Reality is not what you see with your own eyes, or what you can verify with your own mind, but what you are told it is by people in power. To step out of line, and contradict authority is a form of mental illness. You are treated worse than a leper. You might as well die, and go away, because your "conspiracy theories" are making the rest of society feel uncomfortable, and insecure.
The Russian novelist Alexander Solzhenitsyn criticized the Western press, and Western culture in general, more than thirty years ago in an address titled "A World Split Apart" he gave at Harvard University. "Without any censorship," he said "in the West fashionable trends of thought and ideas are carefully separated from those which are not fashionable; nothing is forbidden, but what is not fashionable will hardly ever find its way into periodicals or books or be heard in colleges. Legally your researchers are free, but they are conditioned by the fashion of the day." Solzhenitsyn pinpointed the problem with Western journalism and Western universities; herd mentality. The West has more freedom than anywhere else, but not enough people who are willing to practice it. There are too few Hunter S. Thompsons in the press, and too many cowards. There is nothing wrong with herd mentality since it is part of our nature as humans, but it must be balanced with the free-thinking and free-spirited part of us, otherwise, our countries will be further enslaved by the state terrorists who control our governments. Solzhenitsyn:
"There is no open violence such as in the East; however, a selection dictated by fashion and the need to match mass standards frequently prevent independent-minded people giving their contribution to public life. There is a dangerous tendency to flock together and shut off successful development. I have received letters in America from highly intelligent persons, maybe a teacher in a faraway small college who could do much for the renewal and salvation of his country, but his country cannot hear him because the media are not interested in him. This gives birth to strong mass prejudices, to blindness, which is most dangerous in our dynamic era."Solzhenitsyn died on August 3, 2008. I wish I knew what he thought about the September 11 attacks. The warning he gave in 1978 about the media's ability to give birth to mass prejudices couldn't have been more spot on. The biggest reason why people still believe in the official story of 9/11 is because of the conformist media. It has a death grip on the American mind.
Voices that persist in their questioning of the official narrative are totally ignored and/or silenced by not just the mainstream media, but also by liberals and progressives who thump their chest against evil "capitalists," as if they are the only and truest guardians of the working man. Their rejection of truth-tellers as "kooks" is disgusting. That is why modern day liberals/progressives and news outlets like The Nation and National Public Radio have no credibility whatsoever with the thinking public. They act just as high and mighty as the conservatives they loathe so much, and both are equally ignorant of the true nature of the crimes that have been committed in front of all our eyes by the evil traitors who captured Washington D.C.
But times change. Ignoring the 9/11 truth and accountability campaign as a lunatic and fringe movement is impossible now, and totally ridiculous. Truth-telling on this scale demands respect, and respect better be given, especially to the group Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, which consists of 1300+ members, along with family members of 9/11 victims, who have come together to educate the public about the collapse of Building Se7en through a highly successful television ad campaign called "BuildingWhat?" View the ad here. Near the end of the 30 second ad, they ask viewers; "Bring justice to my son, my uncle, my nephew, my son, and thousands of others who died on September 11." If you have any humanity in your heart, you will listen to what they have to say, you will watch the collapse of Building 7, you will keep an open mind, and you will revisit the day that has defined America, and the world for over nine years.
Fox News Host Geraldo Rivera, who not long ago mocked and belittled 9/11 truth activists on air, is one person in the media who is changing with the times by wising up about 9/11. On Saturday November 13, 2010, Rivera interviewed two spokespersons for the "BuildingWhat?" ad campaign, Bob McIlvaine, whose son was murdered on September 11, and Tony Szamboti, a member of AE911Truth. Instead of berating the two men about their views, Rivera had a short, but thoughtful conversation with them, specifically talking about the implosion of Building Se7en, and the fact that more than 1300 architects and engineers are putting their careers and livelihoods on the line by demanding a new investigation into the September 11 attacks.
On Friday November 19, Rivera confirmed his doubts about the official explanation of the collapse of Building Se7en on Judge Napolitano Fox News show "Freedom Watch," telling the Judge, "I think that it is highly unlikely that our government would do anything nefarious on a scale of this epic nature. However, the building does come down in a way that is reminiscent of a controlled demolition." On the surface Rivera doesn't seem to be saying much. "Reminiscent" is too timid a word to use when reflecting on such a grave matter. Building Se7en was brought down by controlled demolition. There is no ifs, ands or butts about it. Still, it is understandable why Rivera is only dipping his feet into the water, instead of diving head first into the deep ocean of lies. 9/11 is a sensitive subject, if there ever was one. Journalists must tread these waters lightly. We can't all be an Alex Jones, or a Jesse Ventura. There is a lot of wisdom in taking small steps when approaching such a huge crime and cover-up as the 9/11 attacks and the war on terror.
So much of modern American history that we've learned in textbooks is a lie. It will take time for a society to re-learn what really happened, to familiarize itself with the truth about Washington's deep corruption, high treason, and multi-generational deception. The political awakening has already started, but it has a long way to go. People in the media can help speed up the awakening process by stepping forward and discussing these matters frankly with the American people, and the rest of the world. Without a new free press, America will be destroyed. If journalists are not serious about finding the truth now, when they are most needed, when the public mind is filled with lies told by tyrants and state terrorists, then what are they good for?
"If I had to choose between having a free press or a strong military," says General Peter Pace in this interview (5:15 mark), "I would choose a free press." That's a military man talking. Soldiers are not special. Every man can become an effective soldier if he choose to pick up a gun, but not every man can become an effective journalist if he chooses to pick up a pen. There is no skill in modern military killing. Just look at Afghanistan, where highly-trained and well-armed Western troops are having a tough time defeating war-torn Taliban fighters. If we expect our countries in the West to remain free on the backs of soldiers who are fighting thousands of miles away, then that is a sad reflection on us.
If freedom is to be won again in the West, there needs to be dedicated and truthful journalists reporting daily from the frontlines in the propaganda war by the government against the people. Journalists like John Pilger, Paul Craig Roberts, Gareth Porter, Russ Baker, Glenn Greenwald, and some more are carrying the weight right now. Imagine if there were a thousand more like the five I mentioned. Freedom would never be in danger, government lies would never be defended as the truth. Governments would know their role. Tyrants would be afraid to conspire against the people. Imagine if Gary Webb and Hunter S. Thompson were alive today. They did more for the defense of America and its principles than a thousand soldiers.
I hope Western journalists find their guts, and their spine soon. All will be forgiven if they start raising questions about the 9/11 attacks. I don't care if they continue to call 9/11 truth activists "nutjobs." I don't care if they still think 9/11 truth activists are dirt and nutty trash. They don't have to respect the titans that came before them like William Cooper, Alex Jones, David Ray Griffin, Richard Gage, Paul Craig Roberts, Jesse Ventura, and countless of other truth-tellers. I would be happy if they just pay respect where it is due; the truth.
Western journalists can redeem themselves and their craft by investigating the September 11 attacks, and telling the truth to the public. The state terrorists in Washington can only terrorize America, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the world so as long as we let them. If Western journalists can't muster enough courage to do their job, which is to investigate and report the truth, then they don't deserve to be called journalists. If they continue to fail and betray humanity, which is what they are doing by avoiding the questions about the 9/11 attacks, then they will forever be remembered in a worse light than the state terrorists who tried to enslave humanity.
