McChrystal Stoned

Gen. McChrystal, the "Jedi Knight" of the American empire, was conquered by Rolling Stone magazine. And the message is clear, the media is more powerful than the military can ever be. But the pentagon already knew that. McChrystal never got the memo. Apparently, he doesn't like to pick up his phone, or answer any emails.

Obama terminated Gen. McChrystal, and replaced him with General Pet. Chris Floyd writes: "Petraeus, as head of "Central Command" -- the core provinces of the eternal War of Terror -- is already in overall charge of the Af-Pak morass, having previously been in charge of the Iraq bloodbath."

Neither of these two generals are real men. Once you succumb to power, like they have, you lose the most essential part of your identity, and your personality; your independence.

McChrystal's immaturity show through in the Rolling Stone profile. From Rolling Stone's The Runaway General:

"The dinner comes with the position, sir," says his chief of staff, Col. Charlie Flynn.

McChrystal turns sharply in his chair.

"Hey, Charlie," he asks, "does this come with the position?"

McChrystal gives him the middle finger.
