For the record, I think that WikiLeak's presentation of the "Collateral Murder" video was distasteful and propagandistic. The people at WikiLeaks don't seem to care for distinctions, and technicalities. It should be understood that the soldiers in the video were under the impression that they were shooting at Iraqi insurgents, not innocent civilians and little kids. They should not be punished for being mindless soldiers. The greater criminal act is the war itself. I believe America's military and political leaders need to be prosecuted, and the key decision-makers like Bush, Cheney, Blair, and Rumsfeld need to be hanged in the same way that Saddam Hussein was hanged (but with better video footage of their public hanging). Before that is possible, though, citizens of the the international community must work together to end the wars, and escape the mass insanity that is the "War on Terror."
In the video below, former Army specialist Ethan McCord speaks to CBC's The Current about the WikiLeaks video called "Collateral Murder" and the overall systematic destruction of Iraq. (Full interview is 27 minutes long, and can be listened to here.) McCord is the soldier in the video who rescues the wounded boy from the van that was shot up.
