Kevin Carson - The Healthcare Crisis: A Crisis of Artificial Scarcity

Obama's health care "reform" is about one thing: control. The bill exempts Washington's top staffers and top political leaders. Essentially, it allows special treatment for one class of Americans, the beneficiary class, and unkindly treatment for another class; the slaves who are tricked and forced into paying burdensome taxes. And if they refuse to comply, they'll have to face these guys.

Politico: "The health care reform bill signed into law by President Barack Obama Tuesday requires members of Congress and their office staffs to buy insurance through the state-run exchanges it creates – but it may exempt staffers who work for congressional committees or for party leaders in the House and Senate."

The health care bill is a corporatist dream bill, according to long-time industry insider Wendell Potter. Potter gave an interview to journalist Greg Palast at Fighting Bob Fest in 2009, where he told Palast: "I just couldn't stand by and watch the industry use the same tactics, and the same fear-mongering, and kill reform." Despite his noble efforts to speak out and warn the American people, the new health care bill passed and is now the law.
