Israeli historian: Israel could find itself forced to wipe out Europe

* Note: I don't know if this story is true. I've typed the historian's name into Google, and the only result that came up was this story, which was originally posted by The Palestinian Information Center. I'm not sure about the validity of the article, and the idea of spreading around false information is repulsive to me, so I hope that is not the case. So read this with skepticism.

I don't know what to make of this story, I don't know why this Israeli historian thinks the existence of the Israeli people is currently threatened, or will ever be. He must be paranoid. Palestinians have grievances about how they're being treated by the Israeli government, and have sought peace and partnership, only to see their extended hand be refused by Israel and the United States at the United Nations. My belief is that war is not destiny, only a nation that seeks war gets war. So I don't understand why the rhetoric of the historian is so damning and cruel.

One thing that I got out of this story is that the present leaders of Israel pose the greatest threat to the existence of peace and harmony in the world. I am not by any means a fan of radical Islamic Jihad, and believe that any violent confrontation means trouble for the whole world, not just the two sides, but in any conflict there is an aggressor, and in this conflict Israel seems to be the clear aggressor.

To clarify my opinion on the Middle East, I think every people has the right to live safely and prosper in their own land, under their own laws, and according to their own customs and traditions. Jews deserve a country to call their own, as well as the Kurds, and the Palestinians. But the stance that the state of Israel has taken towards its nearest neighbor is morally indefensible. A policy of deportation and murder is unbelievably inhumane and is akin to what the Nazis did to the Jews in Germany.

There is no such thing as the master race. All the different peoples of humanity come from the same creator, and deserve to live freely, so it makes me very angry whenever one nation superimposes itself above all others, as Germany did in the last century, and then seek to rule through fear and intimidation.

We can't have world peace when one nation claims the position of a superpower and then plays favorites. An even more dangerous situation arises when one nation prizes itself as the apple of God's eye, and holds itself above legal scrutiny. Such a situation is what we have today, where two nations, America and Israel, are working hand in hand so they each can operate in the world under the protection and prestige of the other, and above the rule of law.

But that situation is unlikely to last forever. Will America's protection of Israel always be guaranteed, and if so, why should it? And will Israel's biblical prestige begin to wear thin as its policy of destruction and mayhem become intolerable to the rest of the world.

The present situation cannot last because the path both nations have chosen is not the path of righteousness. Both nations breed not good thoughts, good words, and good deeds, but bad thoughts, bad words, and bad deeds. Far from being the apple in God's eye, Israel has turned into the lump in God's throat. And America, the once mighty superpower, is looking to the East to save itself from economic death. And it doesn't help the situation when both nations have stockpiles of nukes, just waiting to be used. It spells doom for the world.

In order to ensure the security of all nations, either they all have to be armed with nuclear arms, or none of them. Not one. With that said, I hope both the Islamic fundamentalists and the Israelis rediscover the humanity of each other, and recover from their present madness. And I hope America undergoes a transformation to be the bridge to make that happen, to make both sides see eye to eye, and help create a lasting peace in the Middle East.

The Palestinian Information Center: Israeli historian: Israel could find itself forced to wipe out Europe

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)-- Noted Israeli military historian Martin Karfeld stated that Israel could find itself one day forced to exterminate the European continent using all kinds of weapons including its nuclear arsenal if it felt its demise neared, stressing that Israel also considers Europe a hostile target.

This came in a press interview broadcast by the seventh Hebrew radio and was translated on Wednesday into Arabic by the press information analysis and study center.

“We have hundreds of nuclear warheads and missiles that can reach different targets in the heart of the European continent, including beyond the borders of Rome, the Italian capital,” Karfeld said, adding that most of the European capitals would become preferred targets for the Israeli air force.

The Israeli historian reiterated Israel’s ability to destroy the whole world whenever it felt its existence would be doomed to extinction.

As for the Palestinians, the historian said that Israel at the present time pursues a specific strategy based on mass deportation of the Palestinian people and has intentions to expel all Palestinians without exception, but it is awaiting the right moment to take this step.

“Two years ago, there was only seven to eight percent of the Israelis believing in this solution towards the Palestinians and just two months ago this percentage rose amongst the Israelis to 33 percent, but today, according to a survey conducted by Gallup institute, this figure surged to 55 percent,” he noted.
