and neither is your government. Post-Katrina, all Americans should know that when a disaster strikes, they are on their own, especially the poor which is quickly becoming the majority. Government employees are not super heroes. In the aftermath of any crisis, the immediacy of life is pushed upon us, as it is meant to be, because only you, the individual, should make decisions that affect your life. Only you, your loved ones, and the community of people around you if you are lucky, are on your side.
