Iraqi PM Maliki Is Saying What Needed To Be Said

"We hold them responsible for supporting these groups financially and morally, and for the outcome of that - which includes crimes that may qualify as genocide: the spilling of Iraqi blood, the destruction of Iraqi state institutions and historic and religious sites," the Iraqi government said of Riyadh in a statement. (Source: Eye Witness News, "Iraq's al-Maliki accuses Saudis of 'genocide'").

An excerpt from, "Iraqi Government Accuses Saudi Arabia of Supporting Potential Iraqi Genocide" by Ben Mathis-Lilley, Slate, June 17:
The government of Iraqi prime minister Nuri al-Maliki said in a statement today that Saudi Arabia's alleged support of ISIS rebels makes the country responsible for "crimes that may qualify as genocide: the spilling of Iraqi blood, the destruction of Iraqi state institutions and historic and religious sites."

Regardless of the truth of the accusation (the Saudis deny it), as a political move it is 180 degrees away from the collaborative approach currently being urged on Maliki by the United States and Iran.
The article below shows a big deception by NBC News regarding Saudi Arabia's support for ISIL terrorists in both Syria and Iraq, who have executed, without charge, members of religious and ethnic minorities, as well as captured prisoners of war.

An excerpt from, "Iraq Cabinet Accuses Saudi Arabia of Spurring 'Genocide'" by Cassandra Vinograd, NBC News, June 17:
Saudi Arabia has provided funding and weapons to moderate Sunni rebels in Syria – but denies bolstering the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) – the group waging a renewed offensive in Iraq.

Sunni militants waving automatic weapons and the black flags of ISIS have captured two key Iraqi cities and pledged to bring their battle to the streets of Baghdad.
NBC News says KSA arms and funds "moderate Sunni rebels" and leaves it at that. Anybody with eyes can see the fighters who have been massacring civilians and intimidating cities in Syria are anything but moderate. They have a genocidal bloodlust and want to cleanse Syria of Shiites, as well as Christians, and other people of different religions and sects. Labeling these mass murdering insane fanatics as "moderates" is a slap in the face to the victims and their families.
